Funerals

Compassionate words, gently spoken to honour lives with quiet dignity.

Why choose a funeral celebrant?

A funeral celebrant can help portray the life of the deceased within the context of their wishes and the wishes of their family. It is preferable for the family to engage the services of an empathetic professional. We are impartial and will meet the needs of the family, to ensure that all wishes are upheld.

Civil, humanist and interfaith funerals.

Unlike traditional services, where religion is a central element, a Humanist funeral ceremony focusses entirely on the person who has died. Humanist ceremonies have no fixed order of service or specific doctrine to follow, which allows for the creation of exceptionally personal ceremonies that truly represent the individual.

My offer to you

I will talk you through the process of planning a funeral ceremony, if you are unfamiliar with what to expect. I work with many compassionate, leading funeral directors across the South Yorkshire area and it is an honour for me to collaborate with them to create meaningful ceremonies. I can conduct the ceremony wherever you wish; this may be at a chapel or in some special garden - as long as the landowner has given permission. I also conduct ceremonies to help families celebrate in a formal setting and scatter the ashes.

I will:

  • Lead a fitting ceremony at an emotional time for you and your family.

  • Be flexible and considerate about the form that a funeral can take.

  • Whether you are planning a funeral service in a crematorium or a Celebration of Life in a place of special significance, we will work together to create a meaningful personal ceremony.

  • Contribute from experience to create the most suitable and respectful send off for your loved one.

  • You will also receive a bespoke presentation copy of your ceremony as a keepsake to treasure.
